EMERALD GLAM

How about a sneak peek at this lovely St. Patrick's inspired Wedding? Today's styled shoot was brilliantly captured via  Courtney Cannon  of Cannon Candids Photography out of Ohio.   Alongside Courtney, McPherson Events and Design curated an Emerald Glamour Styled Shoot inspired by the venue’s Art Deco aesthetic and the lux palette of emerald green, black, and gold. Denise McPherson, founder of McPherson Events and Design, wanted to evoke a spirit of Gatsby glam for a modern and feminine bride. The Silver Grille, now owned by the Ritz-Carlton Cleveland, is an historic building dating back to 1931 with recently restored Art-Deco splendor. The room itself is gorgeous with period chandeliers, restored aluminum grating in window silhouettes, wood and gold pillars, silver and green restored walls, and art deco green and silver chairs. The Silver Grille is on the 10th floor which is a great vantage point to view the Cuyahoga River and Cleveland skyline. Our group quickly realized that we wanted to capture shots both inside and out.

Our bride wore a stunning gown carefully selected by Something White, A Bridal Boutique in Independence. The lace details, open back, and simple skirt are feminine with that glam, art deco flair. Our bride wouldn’t put down her bouquet created by Urban Orchid. The lush organic arrangement featured cascading orchids, roses, brunia and verdant greenery.Teresa Rassi, local hair and makeup artist, accentuated our already stunning bride. She applied natural and shimmering makeup to create a timeless look. Our bride’s blonde locks were pinned up for a sleek updo then shaken out to show of her long wavy curls.
The Silver Grille mirrored in Emerald Green, a strong hue of growth and revitalization symbolic of the wealth, money and the cosmopolitanism of a Gatsby party. The tables were out of the movie with flamboyant gold pedestal bowls filled with waterfall orchids, flowing ivy and feathers created especially for the gala by Petitti Garden Center. Green shadows of lighting complimented the glowing candles that accented the table décor. Each guest received a special treat of gilded gold macaroons awaiting them at their place setting baked by Philomena Bake Shop. Along side were customized escort cards and menus especially created by Gusto Designs along with specially designed invitations to the wedding.
